The Icarus Wings were planned to be in God of War 1 but were taken out for reasons that i don't remember.
A new weapon in number 2 is the bow and arrow. (saw it in the trailer!!!)

April 5, 2005 - God of War blew us away with its style and commitment to making one of the most bad-ass experiences in videogame history. For an original game it was a stunning achievement and deservedly won high marks from practically every reviewer who went through it. It looked fantastic, played smooth, and delivered in just about every area. But after some time to think and reflect we decided that we still wanted more and that even in something this good there is still room for growth so we put together a wishlist of things we'd like to see in God of War 2.
Can you really play a game which is one of the finest action games to date and ask for more? Of course you can. That's the motivation that constantly pushes the art of gaming further along. Pac-Man was a hell of a game for the time, but thankfully we've moved on well past that landmark in gaming history. So in that same passion for excellence in all that we see and spend several consecutive hours of our life playing, progress must continue. And if that next step takes place on the PS3 and blows us away again, then bring it on. We can't wait.
If you haven't played God of War yet, then there's no reason to continue reading this article. For one thing, you need to go out and play the game right now. We're not yelling and screaming about this game for no reason. It needs to be experienced. The other reason is that there are a couple of spoilers in here that are better left as surprises if you haven't played it yet. But if you know the game inside and out and have finished it at least once, then continue on for our God of War Wishlist.
The Director's Cut The camera system in God of War is one of the finest we've ever seen. In practically every scene in the game whatever we wanted to see was displayed flawlessly. The only problem was with that less than one percent of the game where it was just a bit off. While we don't quite need a fully controllable camera next time around, it would be great to be able to at least nudge it a little bit or even just reset it to an alternate view. We're not asking for much, maybe just a quick tap on the R3 here and there, and the game would become easier to see.
A Mighty Jump Watching Kratos pull off a double jump reminds us of tadpoles as they sprout their hind legs and begin their journey through life. The movement is quick and jerky and even though it's clearly functioning properly we can't quite help but think that there's something kinda funny about it. Kratos should evolve his movements into something just a little more fluid and natural. As natural as a double jump can be, that is.
Save That Thought The saving system in God of War is one of the fastest that we've ever seen on the PS2 system. The menu is easy to get in and out of, but an auto-saving system such as we've seen in Jak 3 or Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal would be even slicker. If this is still not possible, then it would be handy to have a save system where the default mode saves each game over the oldest file. That way the four current saves would always contain the last four save points in the game since it's incredibly rare that anyone wants to go back a couple hours in the game.
