Its an excellent game series in my opinion, if you like survival horror. The main games Resident Evil Zero, 1, 2, 3,Code Vericonica and 4 are all available for Gamecube and Ps2(tho zero is gcube exclusive) Uve got RE survivor and dead aim which are gun games like Time crisis and the slightly obscure RE gaiden for the gameboy colour. Theres also RE Outbreak 1 and 2 which is like the usual ones but done in a series of 5 levels. If ur starting out get the mains ones then the outbreaks and if ur completist, the others as well

lets see the first one i played fully (and the only one so far) is resi 4 if you play it on easy it should be a nice starter into the series unless you feel like stating at the begining

I d suggest you do them chronologly starting with Resi 1 then going back to Zero(because it contains many spoilers about 1 and was released after 1) then to resi 2 etc. Its true resi 4 is easy to play but it's different to control from the rest of the series so id suggest start with 1

If you want to start from the beginning go with 1 then Zero then 2,3,4 Code Veronica. The rest go anywhere (Resi 4 continues from 2)
Resident Evil started failing after 3. The first 3 were excellent (2 was the best) HOWEVER after this the series started failing. Resi 4 saved it

i agree it went downhill with some games but it didnt fail as such but resi 4 is wiked

CVX and Zero are brilliant though. Id say the worse one out of the main ones would be 3
